The Al Wooten Jr. Heritage Center provides a safe after-school environment where hundreds of boys and girls in South Central Los Angeles nurture their dreams, participate in tutoring and academic enrichment programs, learn important social skills and are guided to succeed in school and enter college.
The Wooten Center has come a long way since its founder, Faye Rumph, began mentoring four young boys 16 years ago. The challenge of serving more than 300 youths, and raising our expectation of these bright youths demand that we continually upgrade our programs and services.
We are grateful to every individual, every foundation and every corporation that has found it in their heart to support us over these past 16 years. Thank you for "Catching the Vision!"
