Khloe was a few minutes late, but once she joined we had a good lesson -- still working on reading and vocabulary. She read to me again from "She Persisted" this time adding 3 more powerful and successful women. That seems like a good level for her and she likes the fact they are real people and true stories. Words she had trouble reading -- disabled, ultimately, picket line, score. In going back to the words from her last iReady lesson, I asked her to work with them in different ways -- write them down, spell them back to me, and give me synonyms before returning to the practice in iReady. Next time I will talk with her about why learning is boosted with those different types of practice.
