Private tutoring on Zoom...math with Mr. Casey

What is Wooten Online?

Wooten Online is an extension of our CollegeTrek Afterschool Program, helping students in grades 3-12 with their schoolwork and more. Established in response to school closures and social distancing precautions, the program offers online educational support services, including homework assistance and private tutoring. All activities are free and live on Zoom.

Activities will resume at our youth center at 91st and Western in LA after LAUSD reopens.

What do we offer?

Wooten Online provides private tutoring, STEM classes and more. See our program schedule for activities including coding and world languages and culture. See Upcoming Events for our next Teen Talk, AKA, SAT-prep and other teens-only discussion groups and workshops.

  • Free private and group tutoring
Click on "Book It" below to schedule private or group tutoring in math and language arts. In private, students work 1:1 with a Wooten Online teacher, including volunteers from Pepperdine, Loyola Marymount, USC and Disney. Tutors can also help students complete their homework in private or group sessions.

  • Free i-Ready diagnostics in reading and math
Students can receive diagnostics in reading and math to help determine grade-level proficiency based on state content standards. Complete the i-Ready request form below.

How to register

Complete the registration form below for one or more students. Students must be registered to join all classes and to receive the private and group tutoring and i-Ready diagnostics.

How to join the Zoom videoconferences

Logins will be sent to parent emails after registration forms are submitted. Students can join the classes at any time as scheduled. Reminder emails will be sent to parents for private tutoring only but we need your help reminding students to log in for the meetings with their teachers. Missed private tutoring sessions can result in restrictions on future bookings.

For more info or for help with logins or cancellations, call our associate director Christelle Telesford at (323) 756-7203.

All Wooten Online activities are free thanks to our donors.
